Nanu's Hot Chicken on Cottman Avenue was the first Nanu's, opening in July 2023 at 2210 Cottman Ave in Northeast Philadelphia. Everything on the menu starts the same way it did then — halal chicken, never frozen, hand-breaded to order and seasoned with our own spice blend, then fried fresh when you order it.

This is where the whole thing began. The family started with one storefront on Cottman; there are now 20 Nanu's across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware, and every one of them cooks the recipe that was worked out here. It holds a 4.6-star rating from around 1,365 Google reviews, more than any other Nanu's.

The kitchen runs from 10am to 5am, seven days a week, a short walk west of Roosevelt Mall.
